AutoNation seeks an Automotive Photographer to capture high-quality photos of new and used vehicles for online listings. This on-site, entry-level role is ideal for someone comfortable with technology, eager to learn, and capable of independent work.

Training is provided, and previous photography experience is preferred but not required. You will photograph vehicles, stage them around the dealership, and ensure images are organized in the inventory system, contributing to accurate, engaging

Responsibilities

• Photograph new and pre-owned vehicles according to company photography standards and best practices.
• Capture interior, exterior, and feature-specific images that showcase each vehicle.

• Safely operate a variety of vehicle makes and models, including large trucks and SUVs.
• Upload, organize, and maintain vehicle images in the inventory system.
• Collaborate with management, sales, service, and inventory teams to keep listings accurate online.
• Manage daily photography priorities and schedules for new inventory.
• Re-photograph vehicles when updated images are needed.
• Assist with vehicle merchandising and inventory support duties, including removing old materials.
• Maintain photography equipment and follow company processes for quality and consistency.
• Work with urgency while maintaining high-quality standards.

Job description

As an Automotive Photographer, you'll be responsible for capturing high-quality photos of new and pre-owned vehicle inventory and ensuring vehicles are accurately and consistently represented online. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is comfortable with technology, enjoys working independently, and is eager to learn. Previous professional photography experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

What You'll Do

• Photograph new and pre-owned vehicles according to company photography standards and best practices.
• Capture detailed interior, exterior, and feature-specific images that accurately showcase each vehicle.
• Transport, stage, and position vehicles throughout the dealership property and, when needed, to/from a nearby vehicle storage facility to complete photography.
• Safely operate a variety of vehicle makes and models, including large trucks and SUVs.
• Upload, organize, and maintain vehicle images within the inventory management system in a timely manner.
• Work closely with management, sales, service, and inventory teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date online vehicle listings.
• Manage daily photography priorities and schedules to ensure newly received inventory is photographed quickly and efficiently.
• Re-photograph vehicles when updated images are needed.
• Perform related vehicle merchandising and inventory support duties, which may include removing old stickers or other materials from vehicles prior to photography.
• Maintain photography equipment and follow company processes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Work with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining high-quality standards.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• This role is primarily performed on-site at the dealership and vehicle inventory/storage areas.
• The position requires frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time throughout dealership lots and inventory areas.
• A significant portion of the work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, which may include heat, cold, wind, or rain.
• The role requires frequent entry into and exit from vehicles and regularly moving and positioning vehicles for photography.
• Driving is generally limited to the dealership property and nearby vehicle storage facilities. Travel to multiple states/locations and overnight travel are not expected as part of the regular responsibilities of this role.
