Job summary

LaFontaine Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Fenton is seeking an Automotive Parts Driver to deliver and pick up parts and equipment for the dealership. The role requires a current, valid driver’s license and a good Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), plus the ability to obtain a DOT medical card if needed.

Responsibilities include documenting deliveries, coordinating with the Parts Manager, and maintaining the parts delivery vehicle.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory MVR.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to follow instructions and use good judgment.
• Problem solving and proactive communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts and equipment to customers and vendors.
• Pick up parts and equipment as directed by the Parts Manager or Shipping/Receiving Clerk.
• Complete delivery logs and obtain recipient signatures.
• Unload truck at the end of each shift and file paperwork.
• Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the parts department and delivery vehicle.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Current, Valid, Driver’s license; satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Required.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• One year in a vehicle parts department preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver parts and equipment to customers and vendors.
• Pick up parts and equipment from customers and vendors, to be coordinated with the Parts Manager, Inventory Control Clerk, Parts Counter people, or Shipping and Receiving Clerk before leaving.
• Complete a log at the time of delivery and request recipient’s signature.
• Unload truck each night. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
• Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
• Maintain the parts delivery vehicle; ensure it is clean and operating properly.
• Adheres to Company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Required to stand, sit, use hand to finger, handle, or feel.
• Frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach with hands and arms, take and hear.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
