Job summary

Gulf Coast Chevrolet is looking for a Parts Driver to deliver automotive parts and accessories to customers, service technicians, and other dealerships. The role emphasizes timely deliveries, safe vehicle operation, and accurate documentation.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a clean driving record, and strong customer service skills. The job includes stocking duties when not delivering and adherence to all traffic and dealership policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a delivery driver role, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to lift automotive parts and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver automotive parts and accessories to customers, service technicians, and other dealerships.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of parts orders, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
• Load and unload parts from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Verify delivery invoices with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with the parts department and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery vehicle is in safe and proper working condition.
• Assist in the parts department with stocking, organizing, and maintaining inventory when not making deliveries.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and dealership driving policies to ensure safety of passengers, the vehicle, and the parts transported.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs.
• Report any vehicle maintenance needs or delivery issues to the Parts Manager promptly.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Parts Manager.
