Job summary

Jim Glover Auto Family is seeking an entry-level Automotive Parts Delivery Driver to safely pick up and deliver automotive parts and equipment for the dealership while providing professional, dependable service to customers and vendors.

Responsibilities include driving safely, keeping a daily delivery log, and assisting the Parts Department with inventory. Local routes only; company vehicle provided; no CDL required. Starting pay ranges from $12 to $18 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable with a safe driving record.
• Able to read and understand delivery instructions in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to communicate with customers and vendors.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver automotive parts to customers, satellite locations, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Maintain an accurate daily log of deliveries and pickups.
• Load and unload the delivery vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Turn in invoices, receipts, and other required paperwork at the end of each day.
• Perform basic vehicle checks, including monitoring fuel and oil levels and keeping the vehicle clean.
• Notify management when maintenance, repairs, or inspections are needed.
• Assist the Parts Department with inventory, stocking, and organizing parts as needed.
• Help maintain a clean and professional Parts Department.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain high ethical standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Automotive Parts Delivery Driver

Jim Glover Auto Family has an immediate opening for an entry-level Automotive Parts Delivery Driver. This position is responsible for safely picking up and delivering automotive parts and equipment for the dealership while providing professional, dependable service to our customers, wholesale accounts, vendors, and other dealership locations.

Automotive or parts experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are looking for a reliable individual with a safe driving record, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to assist wherever needed.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Must have and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and delivery information in English.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with customers, vendors, and other employees.
• Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.
• Forklift certification is a plus but is not required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, drive, and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Ability to kneel, bend, reach, and work above shoulder level.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry automotive parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely load and unload parts from a delivery vehicle.

Schedule and Compensation

• Full-time, entry-level position
• Tuesday through Saturday [8-5, 7-2]; Some overtime possible
• Starting pay: $12-$18 per hour, based on experience
• Local delivery routes with no overnight travel
• Company delivery vehicle provided
• No CDL required
