Aerotek is seeking an Automotive Bodywork and Painter for a Fremont, NE operation. This role emphasizes automotive paint, bodywork, and finishing with experience using grinders and spray equipment to achieve quality surfaces.

The position offers several levels of paint tech roles with wages from $22–$30/hr and a stated annual pay range of $49,920 to $62,400 depending on experience. This is a fully onsite, permanent job at the Fremont facility with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of automotive painting or paint prep experience.
• Experience with dual-action sanders and grinders.
• Ability to mix primers and coatings per specs.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards for painting.
• Ability to read blueprints related to paint specifications.

Responsabilités

• Clean and inspect parts prior to painting for proper surface condition.
• Prepare products for final paint, including sanding and masking.
• Mix coatings using reducer and catalyst per specifications.
• Spray primers and sealers to ensure proper coverage.
• Apply color and clear coats with spray equipment.
• Identify and correct paint defects such as runs.
• Maintain spray equipment and paint booth cleanliness.
• Handle hazardous waste following safety procedures.
• Follow spill response and evacuation procedures.
• Work safely in non-temperature-controlled environments.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals.
