Caliber Collision in Mobile, AL seeks an Automotive Painter to perform all-purpose duties, preparing color tint, mixing paints, and applying finishes per OEM standards to ensure flawless color match and durable results.

The role requires 3+ years in paint operations within a collision center; ASE or Auto Body certificate preferred; must read estimates and work orders, communicate effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center.
• Auto Body certificate or ASE certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret estimates and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and color-matching accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare color tint to match paint color and mix formulations.
• Ensure OEM standards for application sequencing, timing and materials usage.
• Perform top coating and curing with quality and efficiency.
• Remove masking and reassemble disassembled parts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.

JOB SUMMARY

Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for an Automotive Painter to perform all-purpose duties, which may include, but not limited to: Preparing color tint to match paint color, mixing paint colors and ensuring all formulations, preparations, top coating and curing meet original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommended standards for proper application sequence, timing and materials usage, ensuring that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly have been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the body technician.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center
• Auto Body certificate or ASE certification in refinishing preferred

ABILITIES/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
