Qualifications

• High school or college automotive body repair diploma required.
• 5–7 years of experience in collision repair or body shop preferred.
• Proven skills in automotive refinishing and repair.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexible, dependable, and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and sealing.
• Mix and match paint colors according to specs.
• Apply primers, base coats, clear coats, and specialty finishes with spray equipment.
• Ensure finishes are smooth, consistent, and free from defects.
• Perform buffing, polishing, and minor surface corrections as needed.
• Inspect completed paint work for color match and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized paint booth and work areas.
• Follow all manufacturer and paint supplier repair procedures.
• Handle and dispose of paint materials and chemicals properly.
• Collaborate with body technicians, estimators, and production staff for workflow.
• Complete repair orders, documentation, and timecards accurately.
• Maintain paint equipment and report maintenance or supplies needs.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
