Job summary

Scaletta Armoring Corp. in Bedford Park, IL is seeking a skilled auto body finisher to perform body work, prepare vehicles for painting, and maintain the paint booth.

You will buff and polish, prepare surfaces, and ensure proper use and storage of painting products while delivering high-quality finishes. This is a full-time role in a busy shop with attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Buffing and polishing skills are required.
• Paint prep experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform body work with filler for repairs.
• Prepare vehicles for painting: clean, sand, prime, and tape.
• Wet sand primer and mask the vehicle.
• Ensure proper maintenance of the paint booth.
• Ensure proper usage and storage of painting products.
• Buff with wool and foam pads and compound.
• Finish with final polishing of surfaces.
• Wash the vehicle and remove all compound residue.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
