Job summary

IAC Group in Alma, Michigan is seeking an Injection Mold Die Setter / Mold Technician to safely set up, install, changeover and troubleshoot injection molds used in automotive interior plastic components.

You will work with presses from several hundred to thousand tons, coordinate with maintenance, quality and engineering, perform mold changes, verify utilities, and maintain accurate setup and maintenance records while adhering to safety and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Two years of mold setting or molding technician experience preferred.
• Experience with injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment.
• Read and interpret setup sheets and work instructions.
• Knowledge of plastics processing and molding operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes on injection molding machines of varying tonnage.
• Safely remove, install, and secure injection molds using cranes and rigging.
• Connect and verify mold utilities (water, hydraulics, pneumatics, thermolators, etc.).
• Set molds, establish startup parameters, and assist with process verification.
• Troubleshoot molding process issues and support production teams.
