Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Mobile Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in a mobile environment. The role offers a tiered pay plan, longevity bonus, on-the-job training, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, Michigan Mechanic Certification, and a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory MVR. Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required.

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders in a mobile environment.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts and ensure timely repair.
• Document work performed and perform quality checks.

• Maintain customer vehicles in clean condition and follow safety procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform work as outlined on repair order in a mobile atmosphere.
• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain the needed parts.
• Tag and save parts, turn in parts, if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Document work performed.
• Quality check work performed.
• Attend training classes.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Ensure that customers’ vehicles are kept clean.
• Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, governing service repair work.

Physical Requirements:

• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, and talk or hear.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift weights up to 100 pounds.
