Job summary

MavisTire in New Lenox, IL is looking for full-time Automotive Mechanics to perform various automotive services, including inspections and repairs. We’re looking for full‑time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the New Lenox, IL area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers\' vehicles.
• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, and replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties.
• Extensive personal toolbox of tools used in undercar repairs.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, and perform repetitive movements; regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
• Preferred: state vehicle inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
