Tuffy Tire is proud to join the Mavis Tire family. We’re looking for full‑time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Fenton, MI area.

About the Position of Automotive Mechanic

As Mavis’s leaders in undercar repairs, our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose and perform a wide variety of automotive services. They handle undercar repairs, including brakes, struts and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate and balance tires.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of experience or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs.

Additional Qualifications

• State inspection license(s).
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

As an active position, Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated and repetitive movements. They must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
