Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics in Conover, NC to inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive services. Candidates must have two years of automotive repair experience or equivalent, and possess a personal toolbox. About the Position of Automotive Mechanic

As a leader in undercar repairs, our automotive mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They handle undercar repairs—including brakes, struts, and shocks—, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Qualifications

To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the United States, have at least two years of automotive repair and maintenance experience or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this role, and possess a personal toolbox needed for undercar repairs.

Mechanics are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance. They must regularly lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
