Job summary

Pep Boys, now part of the Mavis Tire family, is hiring experienced Automotive Mechanics for our Skokie, IL service centers. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, with opportunities for career growth in a large national network.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training.
• Have personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs.

Responsibilities

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Maintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service
