Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Mechanic to join our team in the East Hanover, NJ area. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of undercar services, including brakes, struts, and tires, and complete state inspections.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent training.
• Possess an extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs.
• License or certification in state inspections is preferred.
• ASE certifications in Maintenance & Light Repair (G1), Suspension & Steering (A4), Brakes (A5) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of automotive services.
• Carry out undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Perform state-m mandated inspections and routine maintenance tasks.
• Change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
