Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Mechanic to join Team Mavis at our Lubbock, TX center. You’ll inspect, diagnose and perform a wide range of undercar services, including brakes, struts and shocks, plus tire mounting/balancing.

The role requires 2 years of experience or training, a toolbox, eligibility to work in the U.S., and may involve state inspections and routine maintenance tasks. Growth opportunities exist within a large national network.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Extensive personal toolbox required for undercar repairs

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts and shocks
• Complete state-mandated vehicle inspections
• Change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts
• Dismount, mount, rotate and balance tires
