Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices in the Lockport, IL area is seeking a full-time Automotive Mechanic to join Team Mavis. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks, as well as state inspections and tire work.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Two years of automotive repair and/or training experience or equivalent education.
• Preferred ASE Certifications (G1, A4, A5) and state inspection licenses.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state-mmandated inspections and oil/filters changes; check fluids and replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires as needed.
• Maintain an extensive toolbox and ensure safe, quality workmanship.
