Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our Rome, NY area service centers. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of automotive services including brakes, struts, shocks, oil changes, and tire work.

You must be at least 18, legally authorized to work in the United States, have 2 years of experience or training in automotive repair, and own a personal toolbox.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Must be able to demonstrate an extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs.
• Preferred ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and state inspections license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of automotive services.
• Handle undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Perform state-mandated inspections and routine maintenance like oil changes.
• Dismount, mount, rotate and balance tires and replace worn parts.
