AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN / AUTO MECHANIC RESPONSIBILITIES

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN SKILLS (AUTO MECHANIC / SERVICE TECHNICIAN)

Automotive technician skills include automotive diagnostics, auto repair, and vehicle maintenance across gasoline and diesel engines, engine repair, engine performance, and tune-ups. Experience with automatic transmission, manual transmission, drivetrain and axle repair, suspension and steering systems, brake repair, electrical systems, and electronic diagnostics is required. Skilled in HVAC systems, vehicle troubleshooting, and advanced diagnostic scan tools. Experience performing automotive service technician duties in dealership service departments or independent repair shops, including warranty repair, recall repair, and vehicle inspections. ASE certification in engine repair, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, HVAC, and engine performance is strongly preferred.
