Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking an Automotive Mechanic/Technician in Burlington, NC. ASE certified or experienced technicians diagnose and repair vehicles, following MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership and Tire Max standards to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Technicians perform multi-point inspections, document recommendations, and explain repairs to customers. The role requires working five days per week, including Saturdays, with competitive bi-weekly pay and a strong

Qualifications

• Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training.
• Possess valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.

Overview

Tire Max Tire offers complete quality automotive repair and preventative maintenance. Our ASE certified technicians will be happy to help you on a wide range of services including alignments, brake repair, oil changes, batteries, shocks and struts, belts and hoses, and air conditioning.

Automotive Mechanic/Technician ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. They are also responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers, and Tire Max Service standards.

COMPENSATION: Starting from $30 to $50+ PER FLAG HOUR, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
