Job summary

CarMax in West Point, VA is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet CarMax’s safety and quality standards. This role involves hands-on work on engines, brakes, steering, and suspension, in a climate-controlled facility.

You’ll join a collaborative team, gain experience with both domestic and foreign vehicles, and receive ongoing training. A new hire bonus up to $5,000 is available based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as required by state/local law.
