Pick Your Part in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Parts Handler to perform day-to-day activities in the Production Yard or Warehouse, ensuring parts are handled safely and efficiently according to regulations.

You will maneuver around the yard, retrieve parts, process paperwork, pull work orders, remove parts from cars with tools, operate forklift, prep sheet metal orders, label parts, and coordinate with Sales and Dispatch while maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Working knowledge of automotive parts.

The Production/Yard Leader may direct this position to assure that the parts are handled in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/GED (preferred).

Preferred Requirements

• A working knowledge of automotive parts.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
• Basic messages are communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records. May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. On occasion, an employee may be asked to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
• Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
