Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is actively seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics in the Clayton, NC area. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform a broad range of undercar repairs, including brakes, suspensions, tires, and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities include state inspections, oil changes, fluids checks, and parts replacement to ensure customer safety and vehicle performance. Join a team that prioritizes safety, quality workmanship, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or equivalent education/training.
• Possess an extensive toolbox of personal tools used in undercar repairs.
• State inspection license(s) required.
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles.
• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, suspension, and tires.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes, fluid checks, and part replacements.
• Disassemble, mount, rotate, and balance tires as needed.
