Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes in Fort Gratiot, MI is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our state-of-the-art service and tire centers. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, oil changes, and tire service.

The role requires 18+, US work authorization, and 2 years of automotive experience or training, plus an extensive personal tool kit. ASE certifications and state inspections are preferred.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess 2 years of automotive repair experience and/or training.
• Have an extensive toolbox of personal tools.
• Preferred: state inspection licenses and ASE certifications G1, A4, A5.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and perform a wide variety of automotive services.
• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts and shocks.
• Complete state-mandated inspections.
• Change oil and filters; check fluids; replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate and balance tires.
