Job summary

Jiffy Lube is hiring talented technicians to perform Signature Service oil changes, preventive maintenance, vehicle diagnostics, brake services, tire work, and more. Training through Jiffy Lube University and ASE-certified programs supports a fast-track path within our team.

We welcome all experience levels; a minimum of 1 year in a dealership, automotive shop, tire center, or quick lube is preferred. Tools and training are provided, with opportunities to advance into more senior roles.

Qualifications

• All experience levels welcome; training provided.
• Minimum 1 year in dealership/auto shop/quick lube preferred; ASE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Jiffy Lube Signature Service oil change and routine maintenance.
• Inspect and service fluids, filters, lights, tires, and minor services.
• Test, diagnose, and repair brakes, ABS, suspensions, alternators, starters, sensors, A/C, and light engine work.
• Opportunity for advancement to Certified Technician, Service Advisor, or Management after training.

Jiffy Lube Technician-Mechanics perform our Signature Service Oil Change, routine preventative maintenance, vehicle diagnostics, general repair services, brake services, tire replacement, etc.This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. Every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning ASE-certified training program. We even offer Ace Accreditation of up to 32 college credits for completion and certification of Jiffy Lube University courses.

Qualifications

All experience levels are welcome. We can train any skill level as long as you are good at working with your hands.

Previous experience is preferred, with a minimum of 1 year working for a dealership, automotive shop, tire center, or quick lube. ASE certification is a plus.

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to…

Perform Jiffy Lube Signature Service oil change

Inspect and service fluids, filters, lights, wipers, tires, and other minor services

Test, diagnose, and repair brakes, ABS systems, shocks/suspensions, alternators, starters, sensors, spark plugs, tires, cooling system, A/C repair, and light engine repair.

Once you’ve become certified within our training programs, you will be eligible for advancement opportunities and training in other positions [Certified Technician, Service Advisor and/or Management].

Physical Qualifications

Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor-mounted oil and grease guns, vehicle lift controls, impact wrenches, transmission machine, air conditioner service machine, radiator service machine, hand tools and basic shop equipment

Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds

Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed
