Clear Concepts, Inc. seeks a Materials Manager to oversee on-time shipment of finished goods, freight, and raw materials in a complex automotive manufacturing setting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Recent experience in an automotive manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instructions regarding purchasing system and procedures.
• Direct the preparation of and issue purchase orders and change notices.
• Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine material availability and prepare market analysis reports.
• Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to policy.
• Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
• Design and develop systems and procedures to implement purchasing, scheduling, inventory control and traffic for uninterrupted production.
• Formulate purchasing procedures aligned with company policies.
• Develop supplier requirements to improve timeliness of parts and materials delivery.
• Develop and implement visual inventory management systems on the production floor.
• Maintain inventories to assure availability of materials and parts for production.
• Set guidelines with suppliers to improve efficiency and cost savings while maintaining flow of raw materials.
• Assist in developing inventory budgets and provide guidance for inventory management.
• Develop procedures to handle engineering changes during model year for plant, suppliers and customers.
• Assist Plant Engineering and Plant Quality Manager in Vendor Quality Assurance.
• Assist resolving disposition of substandard or rejected materials.
• Develop procedures to coordinate product changes with suppliers and customers for timely start-up of production.
• Ensure supplies are delivered on time for uninterrupted production and shipment.
• Adapt and implement computer technology to support manufacturing systems and on-time delivery.
• Maintain Bill of Material and databases to support manufacturing software.
• Utilize continuous improvement methods.
• Comply with all Company Safety policies, procedures and rules.
