Job summary

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must have recent experience in an Automotive Manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• On time shipment of finished goods and manage inventory levels.
• Direct purchasing, distribution of raw materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Prepare statements regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
• Analyze market conditions for material availability and reports.
• Review purchase orders and contracts for policy conformance.
• Arrange disposal of surplus materials.
• Design systems to implement purchasing, scheduling, inventory control, and traffic.
• Develop plant purchasing procedures aligned with policies.
• Improve supplier timeliness and value.
• Implement visual inventory management on the production floor.
• Maintain inventories to support uninterrupted production.
• Set supplier guidelines to improve cost savings and material flow.
• Develop inventory budgets and provide guidance on levels.
• Handle engineering changes during model year with suppliers and customers.
• Assist Vendor Quality Assurance programs.
• Resolve disposition of substandard materials.
• Coordinate product changes across plant, suppliers, and customers.
• Ensure timely delivery of supplies for production and shipment.
• Adopt computer technologies to streamline manufacturing and delivery.
• Maintain BOM and databases to support manufacturing software.
• Practice continuous improvement methods.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
