Job summary

Fenkell Automotive Services in Auburn Hills, MI seeks an Automotive Lube Technician for a full-time day shift. You will perform maintenance tasks, oil changes, tire rotations and related services, and clearly explain repairs to service advisers to keep customers informed.

Preferred candidates have lube tech experience; recent vocational or tech school graduates are encouraged. A valid driver’s license with a clean MVR is required, and you’ll join a team dedicated to quality and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous lube tech experience preferred.
• Recent graduates from Vocational or Tech School encouraged.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lube Techs perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including flushes, oil changes, tire rotations, etc.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast of rapidly changing technology
• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
