Job summary

Edwards Storm Lake (GM & Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram) is seeking Lube Technicians to maintain and service customers' vehicles. The role involves detailed service reporting, replacing wiper blades and batteries, and changing motor oil as well as transmission and brake fluid.

Advancement opportunities exist to move up to the main line for the right candidate. Responsibilities include lubricating engine parts, replacing filters, tire rotations, tire pressure checks, and inspecting for leaks.

Qualifications

• Broad range of automotive knowledge; prior experience not required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Applying lubricants to moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent wear and ensure performance.
• Lubricating wheel bearings to prevent tire wear.
• Performing engine cleanings to prevent rust.
• Replacing cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.
• Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.
• Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed.
• Inspecting customers’ vehicles for oil leaks.
• Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial inspections.
• Notifying the Service Advisor when maintenance cannot be completed within scheduled timeframes.
