Job summary

Hanania Automotive Group in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an automotive technician to perform oil changes, diagnostics, and repairs at Volkswagen of Orange Park. You will inspect vehicles, install optional equipment, and liaise with the Parts Department to ensure timely service.

A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, automotive training, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; automotive training or certification preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail.
• Automotive repair and maintenance experience preferred.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check and hair follicle drug screen.
• Willingness to excel and learn is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic maintenance following dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose vehicle issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect vehicles for additional service needs and install optional equipment as specified.
• Inspect and test drive newly delivered vehicles for damage or missing components.
• Report defects to the supervisor and maintain dealership tools and manuals.
• Communicate with Parts Department and service advisors to ensure timely service.
• Keep vehicles clean and in optimal condition; uphold safety and ethics.
• Perform other duties to support dealership operations.
