Job summary

Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is seeking Full-time Automotive Laboratory Technicians to support engineering testing for research, development or certification of vehicles, subsystems and materials. Based in Dearborn, MI, the role focuses on data collection with specialized equipment and software, supporting diagnoses, and ensuring data quality.

The position offers an AM day shift (7:00 AM–4:00 PM, Mon–Fri with overtime as needed) and requires a High School diploma or equivalent, plus 1 year

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of mechanical, instrumentation, electrical or fabrication experience.
• Good communication, written and verbal skills.
• Good customer service and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of automotive powertrain systems, fuel systems, components or material properties.
• Ability to learn and follow detailed test procedures while recording data.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of test procedures and collect high-quality data using specialized equipment.
• Assist installation of test units onto stands and connect instrumentation and fluids/electricals.
• Perform routine maintenance, replace parts and manage shop supplies.
• Assist diagnosis and issue resolution for test units, equipment, software and test facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, maintenance and part changes.
• Collaborate with Engineers to operate under experimental conditions.
• Support calibration and maintenance of test equipment for accuracy and ISO compliance.
