Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is hiring Federal Work-Study positions for current Ivy Tech students. The Automotive Work Study Student will assist the Chair of the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, and Applied Science with field- and program-related duties.

Responsibilities include class material prep, welding area inventory, machinery/lab equipment maintenance, and lab/classroom housekeeping to maintain a professional appearance. Starting wage is $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled as a student at Ivy Tech with work-study eligibility.
No prior experience required; customer service or office support is a plus.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have completed FAFSA for the current academic year.
Maintain a minimum of 1 credit hour of enrollment in eligible courses.
Maintain an aid-eligible SAP status.
No incomplete financial aid requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist with material preparation for classes.
Assist with inventory of staples used in the welding area.
Assist with maintenance of machinery and automotive equipment in the lab.
Assist with general housekeeping duties within the lab and classroom to maintain a professional appearance.
