Job summary

Dent Wizard is seeking a Key Technician to work on high-security keys and transponder systems in today’s cars and trucks. You’ll operate on an assigned route of dealers and customers, producing duplicate keys and transponders that work like the originals, while maintaining equipment and inventory.

This role emphasizes independence, customer service, and the ability to develop positive relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electronic skills to service keys and transponders.
• Ability to work independently and manage customer relationships.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Produce duplicate keys and transponders for vehicles on assigned dealer routes.
• Maintain and inventory equipment and supplies.
• Submit invoices and work orders and develop relationships with customers.
• Work on high-security keys and complex transponder systems.

Key Technician

You love the idea of working on high‑security keys and providing complex transponder systems in today’s cars and trucks. You’d be a great fit as a Key Technician with Dent Wizard. Working an assigned route of dealers and other customers, you’ll produce duplicate keys and transponders for vehicles that work just like the original ones. We’ll expect you to maintain equipment and inventory, submit invoices and work orders, and develop positive and productive relationships with our customers.

Bonus Incentive

Bonus Incentive $23/hour base with the ability to earn $3-$5 for commission

Compensation

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The starting compensation is expected to be: $23.00 to $25.00/hour

What You Need to Succeed

• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, key duplication and transponder programming preferred
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation and the ability to work independently
• Toughness and grit to work outside in all kinds of weather
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
