Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking an Interior Designer I to create compelling design proposals for concept and production car programs using sketches, renderings and 3D models.

You will research trends, work with cross‑functional teams, and develop design over engineering packages primarily with Alias. You will also oversee interior design models with vendors and collaborate with engineering to meet feasibility, traveling up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• BS, BFA, MS or MFA in Transportation Design.
• Internship(s) in automotive design field is preferred.
• Knowledge in Alias, Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, VRED, Sub‑D, AI Software, MS Office, clay

Responsibilities

• Create design proposals via sketches, renderings and 3D models.
• Research trends and report to Management using Powerpoint.
• Meet with Management, Engineering, Marketing and Design Team to discuss criteria.
• Develop design over engineering package using Alias.
• Oversee and support interior design models by vendors.
• Consult with engineering and manufacturing for feasibility.
