Job summary

Tire Pros is hiring for an automotive Tire Technician to perform tire repairs, balancing, rotations and TPMS procedures in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, replacing tires, mounting and inflating, testing balance weights, and performing routine maintenance while adhering to safety and quality standards. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience.
• Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications is preferred.
• Certifications: ATS 200 level 300 or 400 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews repair order requests and inspects vehicles to determine tire service requirements and material needs.
• Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services.
• Installs valve stems and TPMS as required; mounts tires on wheels and inflates as needed.
• Tests tire balances to ensure proper weight placement.
• Performs short road tests to verify proper installation.
• Executes basic automotive maintenance such as oil and fluid changes.
• Follows Company Quality Control Program, Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed
• Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services
• Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required
• Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement
• Performs short road test to ensure proper installation
• Performs basic automotive maintenance functions such as oil and fluid changes.
• Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations

Desired Qualifications

• High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience
• Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications
• Knowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and some drivability diagnostic experience
• Certifications: Prefer TIA Automotive Tire Service (ATS) 200. Level 300 or 400 level a plus
