Job summary

Gobble’s Automotive in Cleveland, TN is seeking an Automotive General Service Technician to perform essential maintenance services, tire work, and basic diagnostics. You will help keep vehicles safe on the road and contribute to a positive, customer-focused shop environment.

You’ll handle oil changes, fluid services, inspections, and general repairs, while maintaining shop cleanliness and equipment. This role offers growth as you expand automotive knowledge and skills within a busy team.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of automotive systems.
• Experience with PC-based diagnostic tools and/or digital inspections is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, and install tires with precision and care.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid flushes and replacements, belt and hose replacements, battery testing and installation, and general automotive repairs.
• Conduct thorough visual inspections of vehicles and document any findings.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of shop equipment, including servicing portable fluid drains.
• Actively expands automotive knowledge and technical skills to support long-term career development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop operations and team success.

What You\’ll Bring with You:

• Previous experience in automotive maintenance or repair is preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license is strongly preferred.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
• Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to push, pull, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
