Job summary

McCoy Tire & Auto Care in Arnold, CA is seeking a General Service Technician to perform non-technical service tasks such as oil changes, tire and wheel work, alignments, and flushes under supervision. You will gain hands-on training alongside ASE Certified Technicians and can pursue advancement toward ASE certification.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operate company vehicle in a safe manner.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections as directed.
• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, balance, and rotations.

McCoy Tire & Auto Care (Arnold, CA) is the premier shop for tires and all your automotive needs. Since opening in 1975, our customers have taken us along for the ride when selecting replacement tires or having maintenance work performed on their vehicles. Known for our superior knowledge about all types of replacement tires for passenger cars, light trucks, and off-road vehicles. We also service what we sell, providing customers with computer spin and road force balancing, flat repairs, regular and low-profile tire installation, PAX tire service, and tire rotations. McCoy Tire & Auto is also a full-service shop, we offer quality automotive repair including wheel alignments, brake repair, and a host of other mechanical repairs.

General Service Technician will perform non-technical service repairs such as oil changes, tire and wheel related services, alignments, flushes, and more. While working alongside ASE Certified Automotive Technicians, you will get the training necessary to get to the next level in your career. COMPENSATION: $18 to $22 PER HR - VARIES UPON EXPERIENCE

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely transports customers to and from their place of residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles in an ethical manner following all company and state guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• While performing basic services, observes general vehicle condition and points out any obvious needed repairs or safety concerns to the Store Manager.
• Utilizes the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to properly document the vehicle condition.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop to include the service area, tire racks, showroom and outside the building to maintain a clean and inviting appearance.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.

Qualifications:
