Job summary

Virtual Hire Staffing seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for an automotive manufacturing plant in Indiana to support all areas of plant accounting and partner with plant and corporate teams to analyze data behind business decisions. You will serve as backup when the Finance Manager is unavailable.

Key duties include maintaining internal controls, supporting standard costing, preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheets, and assisting with forecasts, budgeting, audits, and capital project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• ERP experience; strong skills in Excel, QAD, and MFG/Pro.
• Working knowledge of SOX and internal controls.
• Strong business acumen, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• High ethical standards and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain internal financial controls and SOX controls.
• Support the standard cost process for material, labor, and overhead, including cost roll updates in production.
• Prepare standard and miscellaneous journal entries for monthly close.
• Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Partner with the inventory manager on materials transactions and inventory valuation.
• Support physical inventories and reconcile perpetual inventory to the general ledger.
• Provide accounting and reporting guidance across teams, using QAD and other systems for internal and external reporting.
• Assist with monthly forecasts and the annual budget.
• Support cost studies, special projects, and new business evaluations with recommendations that drive cost reductions and profit improvement.
• Support internal and external audit data requests.
• Track capital project spending and capitalization.
