Torrey Holistics seeks an Automotive Durability Road Test Specialist to pilot advanced vehicles on public roads, evaluating performance and build quality while documenting findings.

You will conduct full-vehicle evaluations, translate observations into concise reports, and adhere to safety procedures and traffic laws throughout testing shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Michigan driver's license held for 5+ years with a clean record: no points, no major citations, and no accidents in the past three years; No DUI or DWAI.
  • Availability 3–5 days per week (5 preferred).
  • Able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening.
  • 21 years old or older.

Step into the driver’s seat of innovationAs an Automotive Durability Road Test Specialist, you’ll spend your day piloting technically advanced pre‑production and production vehicles on public roads, evaluating how they perform in real‑world conditions. You’ll observe everything—from powertrain behavior to build quality and system functionality—and translate your findings into clear, concise reports for each vehicle you drive.A day in this roleBegin with a safety and route briefing, then head out on designated public-road test loops.Conduct a full-vehicle evaluation for each assignment, noting performance, quality, and system design observations.Document results the moment you return: produce precise, easy-to-read reports and any required records before your shift ends.Operate every vehicle with absolute caution and professionalism, adhering strictly to traffic laws and internal safety/security procedures.Confidently maneuver oversized vehicles and continue testing in varied and inclement weather conditions.Schedule options1st shift: 4:00 am – 12:30 pm2nd shift: 4:00 pm – 12:30 amSaturday/Sunday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pmShifts typically run 8–10 hours on designated routes while you perform structured test procedures.What you’ll bringAt least 21 years old.Valid Michigan driver’s license held for 5+ years with a clean record: no points, no major citations, and no accidents in the past three years; No DUI or DWAI.High school diploma or equivalent.Availability 3–5 days per week (5 preferred).Endurance to drive for prolonged periods.Skill reading maps and using an iPad or tablet.Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.Strong verbal and written communication to clearly convey detailed findings on reporting forms.Reliability, strong attendance, and the ability to follow directions and execute tasks.Completion of all required training; a positive, team-first attitude.Pre-employment screening- Able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening,Impact you’ll makeYour evaluations are the bridge between engineering intent and on‑road reality.
