Job summary

LKQ Corporation in York Haven is seeking a Dismantler to safely remove high-quality auto parts and core components from vehicles. You will label and tag parts for stock, verify quality and type, and maintain tools to perform tasks efficiently.

This role requires hands-on automotive repair experience, basic math and computer skills, and readiness to follow standard procedures. Training is provided, with possible travel depending on needs.

Must own and maintain all the tools necessary.Assume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Minimum RequirementsEducation & ExperienceMust have hands-on automotive repair experience.May be required to have own set of tools as needed to carry out duties.Preferred RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GED.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Basic computer skills.Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved.Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.Assignments/priorities provide by supervisor/manager.Essential Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).Frequent exposure to contaminants such as fuel or exhaust.
