Job summary

CarGuys Inc. is seeking an automotive diesel technician / diesel mechanic / heavy diesel tech to work with our network of dealerships and repair facilities across the United States and Canada.

You will diagnose, repair, and service diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems in light- and heavy-duty vehicles while upholding high quality standards in a fast-paced shop environment. This role offers top pay and opportunities for certification-based career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as a diesel technician, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment technician.
• All experience levels considered, including entry-level and master technicians.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills for diesel engines.
• Personal tools required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diesel engine repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical diesel system issues.

DIESEL TECHNICIAN SKILLS

Diesel technician skills include diesel engine diagnostics, diesel repair, and diesel maintenance across fuel systems, turbo systems, emission systems, and heavy-duty diesel engines. Experience with automatic and manual transmissions, drivetrains, axles, suspension systems, brake systems, electrical and electronic diagnostics.

Strong experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks, light-duty diesel vehicles, and heavy-duty diesel equipment in dealership or independent repair environments. Knowledge of diesel systems, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting is highly valued.
