Job summary

Morrie’s Minnetonka Ford in Minnetonka, MN is seeking an automotive technician capable of diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems. You will test drive vehicles and use diagnostic computers to confirm repairs, while following safety and quality checklists.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to read and follow repair procedures and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair problems with engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension and brakes.
Test to ensure systems and components function properly.
Road test vehicles or use diagnostic equipment to verify repairs.
Maintain accuracy and efficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
Follow checklists to examine critical parts of each vehicle.
Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes and related items.
Utilize pneumatic wrenches and other power tools to remove bolts.
Use machine tools to rebuild components such as brakes.
Utilize common hand tools for small-scale parts work.
Prepare repair estimates for vehicles.
