Job summary

West Point Automotive is hiring an Auto Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of vehicles. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer communication in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will work with diagnostic tools and software, replace worn parts, perform routine maintenance, and mentor apprentices as needed. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift heavy components are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive training preferred.
• ASE certification is an advantage.
• Experience as Auto Mechanic or Automotive Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform repairs and maintenance including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, oil changes and fluid checks.
• Replace worn parts and ensure proper fit and safety of components.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems, wiring, sensors, and ignition systems.
• Communicate repair options and cost estimates to customers and keep them informed on progress.
• Maintain detailed service records and ensure quality control and safety compliance.
