Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and quality standards. You’ll work in a climate-controlled facility, collaborating with a skilled team to handle engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and more.

Ongoing training and advancement opportunities are provided. New hires may qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000, with an hourly rate range of $23.28 to $41.94.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as applicable by state/local law.
