Job summary

OnSite Dealer Solutions is seeking an Automotive Detailer to clean and refurbish vehicles according to customer specifications. The role involves washing exteriors, cleaning interiors, applying wax, and inspecting for defects.

You will work with a team to meet quality standards in a fast-paced shop environment. This hourly position offers competitive pay and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 1 year of automotive detail experience preferred.
• Professional interpersonal and communication skills necessary for interacting with employees, vendors and customers

Responsibilities

• Wash exterior, clean interior and windows, and wipe door jams.
• Apply wax to auto body and buff surfaces.
• Vacuum interior to remove dirt and debris.
• Clean upholstery, rugs, and surfaces with appropriate cleaning agents.
• Apply interior protectants to vinyl or leather and treat fabrics.
• Clean engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment.
• Use cleaners to remove tough residues per product instructions.
• Inspect vehicles for dents, scratches, upholstery damage, and mechanical issues.
• Restore appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery, and painted surfaces.
• Apply dressing on tires and tire wells.
• Use SERV VIN Order System.
• Deliver on customer specifications and coordinate with team.
• Keep workspace neat and safe; report issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Automotive Detailer is to clean and refurbish new and used vehicles within the scope of the customer specifications.

Hourly, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down door jams
• Applies wax to auto body and wipes or buffs surface
• Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices
• Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents
• Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation
• Restores appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery, and painted surfaces
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells
• Use of SERV VIN Order System
• Understanding and delivering to the specific requirements of the customer
• Coordinating work with team members
• Keeps work area neat and clean
• Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned
