Job summary

Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet - Waynesville seeks a detailer to keep vehicles looking showroom-ready inside and out. You’ll wash, wax, vacuum, shampoo, and apply protectants, while maintaining a clean, organized workspace and documenting services performed.

We value attention to detail, reliability, and good communication with customers. Prior detailing experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn will also qualify you for a fast-paced, rewarding team.

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented auto detailer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional cleaning services for our customers' vehicles, both inside and out.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to assess their condition and recommend cleaning services to clients.
• Wash, wax, and polish vehicles using a variety of cleaning products and equipment.
• Clean and detail vehicle interiors, including vacuuming, shampooing carpets and upholstery, and wiping down surfaces.
• Apply protectants and dressings to tires, trim, and other exterior components.
• May also perform tasks such as steam cleaning engines, buffing headlights, and removing stains.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ensure all detailing services are completed to the highest standards and meet customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and expectations.
• May involve moving and parking vehicles within the work area, and potentially pick-up and drop-off for clients (depending on the company).
• Keep accurate records of services performed and products used.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Experience in auto detailing or a related field (preferred).
• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and techniques for various vehicle surfaces.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license (may require a clean driving record).
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
