Job summary

Gerald Auto Group in Naperville, IL is seeking a Full Time Automotive Detailer to clean and restore interiors and externals of vehicles. You must have prior detailing experience, including at least 2 years in both interior and exterior work.

You will perform exterior detailing, interior cleaning, protective treatments, and tool maintenance, with a schedule Monday–Friday 8:00–5:00 and paid lunch. We offer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with company match, PTO after 90 days,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in both interior and exterior detailing.
• Prior new car dealer detailing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exterior detailing including washing, clay bar, buffing and polishing.
• Interior detailing including vacuuming, shampooing, cleaning dashboards and upholstery.
• Apply protective coatings such as ceramic sealants.
• Operate and maintain detailing tools and manage inventory.

Job description

Full Time Automotive Detailer:

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Detailer to clean and restore the interior and exterior of vehicles.

You must have prior detailer experience and new car dealer experience to be considered.

Exterior Detailing:

Washing, degreasing, using a clay bar to remove contaminants, wet sanding and buffing scratches or defects and polishing the vehicle's paint. Cleaning and the engine compartment, door jambs, wheels, trim, and glass to restore shine.

Interior Detailing:

Vacuuming carpets and upholstery, spot cleaning and shampooing seats, dashboards, door panels, and headliner upholstery. Disinfecting and deodorizing interior odors.

Protective Treatments:

Applying protective agents like ceramic coatings or other sealants to prevent future damage to paint and upholstery.

Tool & Supply Management:

Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, buffers, polishers, or steamers. Securing the inventory of detailing products and tools.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

Attention to detail in cleaning and restoring vehicles.

Ability to perform extended periods standing, bending, and reaching.

Knowledge of using cleaning tools and products.

Punctuality and a good work ethic.

Experience:

Applicants musthave a minimum of 2 years experiencein both interior and exterior detailing.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:00 - 5:00 with an hour lunch break.

Available Benefits include:

Pay range for this position:$20.00-$25.00 (Exact compensation may vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, and education)
