Mazda of Orange is seeking an Automotive Detail Lot Attendant to maintain clean, well-presented vehicle inventory and support dealership operations. The role emphasizes efficient washing, waxing, and adherence to safety standards in a busy environment.

The position requires basic high school education, a valid driver’s license, and attention to detail. Training is provided, with possible overtime and weekend shifts depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Prior detail technician experience preferred but training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend job instructions (electronic or paper).
• Excellent manual dexterity and eye for detail.
• Good judgment.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Wash and wax vehicles in a timely manner per manager requests.
• Follow directions from sales/service managers with efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure vehicle keys are tagged and descriptions match vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for safety or required servicing and inform supervisor.
• Supervise apprentices as assigned.
• Keep shop area neat and account for tools; comply with regulations on hazardous waste disposal.
