Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Service diesel vehicles and equipment per repair order specifications, from initial assessment through completed repair.
  • Interpret job orders and use hands-on observation to identify malfunctions and determine the correct repair approach.
  • Scan vehicles using inspection checklists to confirm all critical components and safety systems are thoroughly reviewed.
  • Secure safety devices, protective guards, and fasteners on trucks, making adjustments to meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Validate repair quality by test-driving vehicles and confirming smooth, safe operation.
  • Submit warranty parts to the warranty clerk with proper tagging per dealership procedure.
  • Complete all work in compliance with applicable safety requirements and published repair procedures.
  • Apply knowledge from factory technical bulletins and manufacturer training to every job.
  • Restore customer vehicles to clean condition before return and sustain an organized workspace throughout each shift.

What We're Looking For
  • Ford certification preferred; experience with other OEMs including agricultural equipment considered
  • Prior Ford dealership experience and Ford diesel engine background are strong pluses
  • ASE certification preferred
  • 1+ year of fleet or dealership experience required
  • Strong diesel diagnostic, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Must supply own tools
  • Self-motivated with a professional approach to repair work
  • Clean driving record required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
