Job summary

Bosch in Farmington Hills, MI offers a Data Science Internship in the Calibration Engineering group of Power Solutions. The program runs for an 8-month project starting early 2027, with January–August or May–December windows.

You’ll support data scientists and engineers on automotive powertrain problems using advanced analytics and ML techniques. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an Engineering program, have strong Python skills, and basic experience with AI/ML.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with at least one semester completed.
• Very good Python skills.
• Has experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms (work or academic).
• 1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must work 35-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Data Exploration and Analysis: collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify patterns and insights; apply statistics and visualization techniques.
• Machine Learning Development: develop and implement ML models, algorithms, and statistical techniques.
• Predictive Modeling and Optimization: build models to forecast outcomes and optimize processes.
• Data Mining and Pattern Recognition: discover meaningful patterns and relationships; use clustering and dimensionality reduction.
• Collaborative Problem‑Solving: work with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions.
• Documentation and Reporting: document methodologies and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Continuous Learning: stay up-to-date with data science advancements and participate in trainings.
